Training and Presentations
Dr. Lange has conducted in person and online training to professionals on hot topics within the field, including: alcohol and other drug prevention, emerging drugs, medical marijuana, prescription drug abuse, impaired driving, research design, and survey methods. He developed an award winning strategic framework for comprehensive prevention that has been adopted or adapted by several universities and state college systems.
Technical Assistance and Consulting
He has advised or currently assists several State and Federally funded efforts to reduce AOD abuse and harms, including: the U.S. Department of Education’s Higher Education Center for Alcohol, Drug Abuse, and Violence Prevention; U.S. Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies, Science and Service Technical Expert Panel; California State Prescription Drug Task Force; and RADD – the Entertainment Industry’s Voice for Road Safety.
Teaching and Mentoring
Dr. Lange has taught college-level courses in statistics, research methods, social psychology, and alcohol abuse. He has mentored numerous graduate students at both the Masters and Doctorate level.
